Strictly Street Rules

ELEGIBILITY: Any 1970 and newer
domestic built passenger sedan or coupe available for
general purchase. Front or rear wheel drive. No all wheel
drive.
BODY: Bodies may be changed between
manufacturers but must match wheelbase of unaltered chassis.
Roof, quarter panels and deck lid to be O.E. steel without
modifications except as needed for tire clearance. Doors,
front fenders, and hood may be fabricated aluminum with
dimension and shape same as O.E. Complete O.E. floorpan and
front fire wall required.
Front and rear (optional) windshield must
be a minimum of 1/8 in. lexan. Front windshield must have a
center brace.
Exceptions: Midsize metric G.M.
chassis may use 5 Star replacement Monte Carlo steel panels.
Doors may be fabricated from a minimum 22
gauge steel.
Aftermarket bumper covers may be used,
must match body style but can offer no aerodynamic
advantage.
Front half of rear inner wheel well must
remain intact. Other interior panels may be removed.
All cars must start the race meet with
all exterior body panels in place.
Rear spoiler allowed. Maximum size 5 in x
60 in. attached directly to deck lid.
Out of spec bodies will be corrected to
track management satisfaction before being allowed to race a
second time.
CHASSIS: Minimum wheelbase 101 in.
Leaf cars minimum ride height 7 in. Coil
cars 6 in. Full roll cage required. Rear upright can be
located no closer than 24 in. from the center or rear axle.
Center of rear axle rearward may be
replaced with steel tubing a minimum of 2x2x1/8 in. and must
follow original contour.
Fuel cell minimum height 12 in.
No jacking bolts allowed.
Adjustable spring cups may be used as
long as shock absorbers remain in stock location.
No lowering blocks on leaf cars, shackles
no longer than 6 in. with a maximum of 3 adjustment holes.
Left front upper control arm mount may be
relocated for camber adjustment.
G.M. midsize metric and Ford products may
have 1 additional set of holes drilled for adjustment of
rear trailing arms at frame attaching point. No material may
be added for excessive adjustment.
Leaf spring chassis cannot be tied
together.
Sway bar maximum diameter 1 3/8 in.
Mounted in stock location with O.E. type mounts. Can be made
adjustable on one side. Sway bar must be O.E. type 1 piece
steel.
Shocks and struts must be commonly
available, unmodified, stock mount units. No made for
racing shocks or struts I.E. PRO-Shocks, QA1, Koni, Bilstein,
etc. No adjustable shocks allowed.
Rear trailing arms may be reinforced
Ball joints and steering components must
be O.E. type. No mono-balls or adjustable ball joints
allowed.
Urethane or solid steel suspension
bushings may be used. No mono-balls or heims.
WHEELS: Aftermarket wheels allowed
up to 7 in. wide with a minimum weight of 19 lbs. Track
width not to exceed 64 in.
Exception: 1990 and newer Thunderbird
can be up to 65 in.
Track width must be obtained with wheel
offset not suspension parts. All wheels must be the same
offset.
TIRES: To be announced at a later
date.
TIRES MUST BE PURCHASED FROM AN
AUTHORIZED SALES REPRESENTATIVE
ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS ONCE TIRES HAVE
BEEN REMOVED FROM SALES AREA.
IF CAUGHT WITH TIRE SOFTENER THE MINIMUM
PENALTY WILL BE LOSS OF ALL POINTS TO DATE. MORE SEVERE
PENALITIES MAY APPLY.
REAR AXLE: Housing must match
chassis, no camber or toe
May be open or locked by welding or a
mini spool. No traction enhancing differentials.
Maximum gear ratio 3.73
Right rear racing axle mandatory.
TRANSMISSION: Unaltered automatic
transmission only
Stock torque converter onl
Cooler must be outside of drivers
compartment
G.M. Powerglide will be allowed
COOLING SYSTEM: Any radiator that
fits under the stock hood allowed.
Water with cooling additive only.
Must have a sealed overflow tank.
ABSOLUTELY NO ANTIFREEZE ALLOWED
BATTERY: May be relocated but must be
in a sealed battery box.
BRAKES: All cars must have four wheel
brakes in good working condition.
No light weight components.
WEIGHT: Leaf spring cars ... minimum
3100 lbs. ... 52% left maximum
Coil spring Camero, full frame non-metric
cars, and full frame big metric cars... minimum 3000 lbs.
... 54% left maximum
Intermediate metric cars ... 2950 lbs.
... 54% left maximum
All weights are with driver.

O.E. cast iron 2 bbl. or emissions type
aluminum Quadra jet.
Stock type ignition only, may use
aftermarket coil and module.
FUEL SYSTEM: Fuel lines must be steel
and routed outside drivers compartment.
Mechanical fuel pumps only.
CARBURATORS: Box stock Holley 4412
with common tuning modifications allowed.
NO MODIFICATIONS TO AIR BLEEDS ALLOWED,
MUST MEET ALL GUAGE DIMENSIONS
The only accepted carburetor adaptors are
Mr. Gasket #1929 or 1937.
EXCEPTION: Rochester 2 bbl. may be
used as long as all dimensions are as originally produced.
Maximum mounting gasket thickness 1/2 in.
No spacers allowed.
EXHAUST: Steel tubing headers with
primary pipe no larger than 1-5/8 in. and a collector of the
non-merge type no larger than 3 in. allowed. No stepped
tubes.
Exhaust system must have mufflers with no
leaks, turned down and end under car. Pipe size not to
exceed 2-1/2 in.
IF EXCESSIVELY LOUD YOU WILL BE ASKED TO
MAKE CHANGES BEFORE THE NEXT RACE MEET. WISCASSET RACEWAY
RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REQUIRE A SPEC MUFFLER.
ENGINE ACC. Cast iron water pump only
Underdrive pulleys allowed
